This state-of-the-art facility art program ranges from monumental to budget-conscious artworks with abstracted scientific imagery. The art program includes a three-story aluminum wall treatment behind the main stairwell that reveals various elements along the path of travel, from the school’s original building to scientific details, indicating the unlimited horizons in education and research. A hanging sculpture commissioned from a Texas-based artist, visible from outside the building, was inspired by UTMB biological images and water images created by the artist.
