Kalispell Regional Healthcare Montana Children’s Medical Center – Lobby Bear Sculptures

The Montana Children’s Hospital’s lobby entrance is designed to welcome patients and their families and create an environment that preserves and strengthens the family unit’s close bonds. Skyline Art’s environmental graphic design team transformed the hospital’s Grizzly bear mother and cub logo into life-size 3-dimensional forms that were placed throughout the seating area, encouraging interaction and offering patients of all ages a moment of joy and amusement. As the state animal, the majestic Grizzly Bear is an instantly recognizable symbol of Montana’s strength and beauty. Known for being fiercely protective, the mama bear watches over her trusting cub. Despite their size difference, the bears meet nose-to-nose. The colorful facets and playful shapes covered in soft rubber encourage children to interact, have fun and offer hope.
