The design incorporated natural elements such as wood, stone, and abstracted water features. These materials and components helped create a connection to nature, promoting a sense of calm and tranquility. Soft greens, blues, and neutrals were used to create a soothing atmosphere. These colors are known for their calming and relaxing effects and contribute to a spa-like ambiance. Incorporating regional flora and fauna were integrated into the artwork and decorative elements. This not only added a unique sense of place but also connected patients to the local environment, promoting a feeling of comfort and familiarity. Artwork showcased the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage was displayed throughout the hospital. This included paintings, sculptures, and large-scale photographs of local landscapes, landmarks, and historical sites. Such artwork provided a sense of identity and belonging to the local community.
